for me it's Fact, for the media it's a Fad... please, everyone, stop... I'm tired of it.

Tired of the irritated looks from servers at restraunts... I'm sorry that I am requesting so much of you, I was under the impression that you are employed to serve me & answer questions about the menu in return for me buying my meal and tipping you. That is what I did when I was a server.

Tired of the assumption that I'm trying to lose weight... I may look thinner now, but I have actually gained 5-10 lbs on this "diet"

Tired of friends thinking that I think they, too, should be gluten-free... I don't. Unless you have unresolved digestive problems. It helps me to feel healthy & normal. I can eat without feeling immediate intestinal pain & discomfort (never mind the bloating, stomach noises, and bathroom issues)... If you have these issues, too- maybe you should be gluten free, but I am not going to try to convert anyone.

Tired of awful & misinformed articles in HuffPost or better ones lacking any new information in the BostonGlobe, NYTimes or anywhere else, by reporters who have no idea what they're talking about.  Even WebMD's article on What to know about celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, and gluten-free diets starts off by saying: "You know that it’s fashionable when Oprah Winfrey does it."

I'm going insane with frustration... I am so happy that all the hype has made it easier to eat out or purchase convenience foods... but really, please stop... I'm tired.

(this was all inspired by an accidental glutenning at lunch, causing moody crankiness & discomfort, enhancing my reaction to the idiotic HuffPost article) ... I'm ready for a glass of wine!
